Android 15 Beta 4: What's Fresh and Exciting?
Emoji Update:
Google has upgraded from the traditional PNG-based emoji font to a vector-based format, ensuring that emojis are infinitely scalable and remain crisp and clear at any resolution.
This enhancement, first introduced in Android 13 and continued through Android 14, will now be standard on devices like the Pixel line, which will exclusively use vector graphics for emojis.
Major Bug Fixes:
Some of the major bug fixes in the new update include:
· Enabling Pixel Fold owners to enroll a face in Face Unlock without issues when folding or unfolding the device.
· Preventing Pixel 6 devices from being bricked if reset too soon after updating.
· Restoring app notification settings after a device backup.
· Fixing a contrast problem with the Quick Settings tile.
· A fix to prevent the immediate rejection of Bluetooth pairing requests when there’s a mismatch between the API-suggested transport and the transport observed by the Bluetooth stack. This improvement potentially increases the success rates of Bluetooth pairing.
· Fixed several other issues affecting system stability, connectivity, performance, usability, and camera functionality.
