Apple Event: Here's When the iPhone 16, New AirPods, and Latest Apple Watch Models Could Be Unveiled
Apple is gearing up to unveil its latest iPhone models and other new devices at an event reportedly scheduled for September 10, according to Bloomberg. The tech giant is expected to introduce the iPhone 16 lineup alongside updated Apple Watch models and new AirPods.
Citing sources close to the matter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that while Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the date, preparations for a September 10 launch event are underway. If the timeline holds, the new devices could be available for purchase starting September 20, in keeping with Apple's typical release schedule.
The iPhone 16 series is rumored to include a new "Capture Button" on the side for quickly snapping photos and recording videos. While the design will likely be similar to the iPhone 15 models, the Pro versions may feature larger displays, measuring about 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.
Gurman also highlights that Apple plans to showcase the AI capabilities of the new iPhones, powered by the A18 chip. This upgraded processor is expected to enhance performance and enable new "Intelligence" features.

The event will also likely introduce the Apple Watch Series 10, which may boast larger displays and slimmer cases than previous models. Additionally, Apple is expected to debut two new versions of its entry-level AirPods, with one model reportedly offering noise cancellation—a first for the standard AirPods lineup.
Apple’s decision to hold its event on September 10 fits its tradition of hosting fall launches on the second Tuesday of September. Official media invites are expected in the coming days.
While not part of this event, Gurman notes that Apple is internally testing new Mac computers equipped with M4 chips, hinting at future product announcements.
