Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is set to officially conclude on August 16, 2024, at 11 PM EST, marking the beginning of the game's downtime in preparation for the next season. This follows the usual pattern seen in previous seasons, where a transition period involving downtime occurs. For instance, the last season ended on May 24 at 2 AM ET, following a similar process.

The upcoming season of Fortnite, titled Absolute Doom, is set to launch on August 16, right after the conclusion of Chapter 5 Season 3. Doctor Doom will take center stage as the main character for Chapter 5 Season 4. This was first teased during an in-game event in the final stages of Season 3 and later confirmed in the official trailer.

Doctor Doom won't be the only Marvel character featured in the upcoming season. A host of other Marvel heroes and villains will join him, each bringing their own unique skins and cosmetics. The season will also see the introduction of new and returning weapons. Doctor Doom will have his own stronghold on the Battle Royale map, aptly named Castle Doom. This new Point of Interest (POI) is just one of several Marvel-themed locations set to be added to the island in the upcoming season.
