India Specific News related to Google Pixel 9 Pro

Google may introduce only two models from the Pixel 9 series in India on August 14, rather than the entire lineup. The US-based tech giant has updated its India-centric online store, listing only the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold models. To provide context, Google is expected to unveil four models globally at an event on August 13: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, only the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold appear on the Google India online store. Additionally, a preview image shared by Google India on the social media platform X shows only two smartphones.

Historically, Google has been selective about releasing certain Pixel devices in India. Last year, during its annual developers conference, Google I/O, the company launched its first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, alongside the Pixel 7a. While the Pixel 7a was released in India, the Pixel Fold was not.
