During the "It's Glowtime" event scheduled for September 9, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 series along with the new Watch Series 10 and a range of accessories. The main focus of the event will be on the iPhone 16 series, which, similar to the iPhone 15 series, is rumored to consist of four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

If you are eagerly anticipating the upcoming iPhones, here is everything we currently know about Apple's forthcoming iPhone 16 series:

The iPhone 16 lineup offers various screen sizes, starting with the smallest model, the iPhone 16, which features a 6.1-inch screen. Following that is the iPhone 16 Pro, the first Apple smartphone to have a 6.3-inch screen, then the iPhone 16 Plus with a 6.7-inch screen, and finally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a large 6.9-inch screen.

Similar to the previous model, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will feature a 60Hz refresh rate OLED display, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate panel.

Reports suggest that the iPhone 16 series will share a design resemblance with the previous model. Leaks indicate that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus may come in Black, White, Green, Yellow, Pink, Blue, and Purple variants, sporting a glass back and an aluminum frame.

On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to be offered in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Gray Titanium, and Gold Titanium options, featuring a glass back and a titanium frame. Notably, the titanium frame of the iPhone 16 Pro lineup is rumored to have a glossy finish, a departure from the previous models, resembling the iPhone 14 Pro.

In contrast to the iPhone 15 series, where different chips were used for the pro and non-pro models, reports suggest that the entire iPhone 16 series will be powered by the A18 chip. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to feature a speed-binned A18 Pro chip, potentially offering a higher CPU clock speed and more GPU cores, making them slightly faster than the A18 chip found in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Both chips are anticipated to be manufactured by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) using their advanced 3nm process.

In addition to the new chip, all four iPhone 16 models are likely to include a minimum of 8 GB of RAM, primarily to support Apple Intelligence. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to start with 256 GB of storage, potentially reaching up to 2 TB in the top-tier configurations, while the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to begin at 128 GB and go up to 512 GB.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are anticipated to feature similar camera hardware to their previous models, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to come with an enhanced ultra-wide-angle lens boasting 48 MP resolution. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro, like the iPhone 15 Pro Max, is set to include a new telephoto camera capable of 5x optical zoom.

Rumors suggest that the new vertically aligned cameras on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will have the ability to capture spatial videos supporting 3D playback on Apple Vision. Although video recording is expected to remain at 4K resolution, there may be improvements in bit-rate recording for more stable footage.

Contrary to the rumors about Apple releasing a button-less iPhone, the reality is that Apple is not removing buttons but adding more with the iPhone 16 series. This new series will feature an enlarged action button, initially seen on the iPhone 15 Pro, and a capture button to assist users in taking photos on their iPhones similar to a digital camera.
