As a hardcore Samsung fan who is currently using Samsung s23 ultra, I am eagerly waiting for the new One UI 7. I am much excited about what all features the One UI 7 will unveil.

One UI is Samsung's custom Android skin, which made its debut in 2018. Fast forward to 2024, and the tech giant is gearing up to launch the seventh major iteration: One UI 7.0. The exact date on which it will be released is still unknown and tipster are just making speculations on it.

This latest One UI will be built on top of Android 15 and is set to roll out to eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the second half of the year.

  • Battery and Charging: New battery icon and charging animation bar.

  • Camera Interface: A refreshed camera interface for a more intuitive experience.

  • 5G SMS: Introduction of 5G SMS messages.

  • Notification Animations: New animations for notification pop-ups and closures.

  • Unlock Animation: Enhanced unlock animation.

  • Widgets: A significant increase in available desktop and lock screen widgets of various sizes.

Additionally, some new features that have yet to be widely leaked include a "page return" animation, various home screen and lock screen widgets, "large foldables," and the new "control area" on the lock screen. The Gallery app icon is also reportedly getting an overhaul.
